MM2 Modern Dance brings BREATH to the Neighborhood FringeArts

Philadelphia’s MM2 Modern Dance Company will be bringing their latest work, BREATH to the Neighborhood FringeArts for one performance only at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The performance will be held at the Ruba Club, 416 Green St, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

The company, which recently toured their choreography in Toronto, Canada for World Pride, is comprised of seven dancers and choreographers – Jessica Bryan, Jenna Faye Eugenides, Kaylee Goodwin, Jillian Ikeler, Jennifer Laucella, Alison Liney, and Brianne Scott. Unlike most dance companies, each company member is charged with creating and setting new work each year on the entire company.

BREATH is a collection of seven pieces which focus on how our breath is the bridge which connects consciousness to nature and life itself.  We are continually moving through air, much the same way a fish moves through water. By breathing we are attuned to the world around us, sharing the air with nature and each other.  Our breath expresses our inner feelings, our state of well-being, our excitement and even our anxieties.  Breath flows endlessly through all, sustaining us, and allowing us to express life’s nuances.
