MM2 Modern Dance to debut two new works at Inhale Performance Series

MM2 Modern Dance will debut two new works by choreographers Heather Fleischman and Jennifer Laucella at the upcoming Inhale Performance Series on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 7:30pm at  the CHI Movement Arts Center,  1316 S 9th Street, Philadelphia.

KYL/D’s InHale Performance Series offers a supportive environment that fosters creative exchange of ideas, cultivates community and provides opportunities for members of the public to experience a wide spectrum of dance/movement disciplines. Selected artists, chosen via an application process, receive free performance space, technical assistance and audience comments by means of a written feedback form. To date, KYL/D has presented over 300 movement artists from PA and beyond, including from DC, NY, VA, MD, MI, CT, & IN. The shows have been filled to near capacity.

MM2 dancers/choreographers have been in studio developing new works as part of the 2013 season – THREE.  Jennifer Laucella will be presenting Sonsea which “explores the cycles that are the very essence of life”.  The piece will be danced by Heather Fleischman, Angela Frezzo and Kaylee Goodwin.  Heather Fleischman will present one with an original score, Galaxy Movement by Jon Mulhearn.  one is a duet performed by Heather and Matthew Varvar, which explores “finding balance”.

Also featured on the evening’s bill are Craig Scull, Duanne Lee Holland, Jr, DanceLink, Jeffrey Peterson, Julee Mahon, Karim Sariammed, Sattriya Dance Company, SHARP Dance Company, and Warped Dance Company from Sheboygan, WI.
